Register a Name

You're by no means required to register before posting to XVII. There could arise a situation, though, where one has been posting haiku under a certain name, and somebody else decides to post under that name too. To avoid any messy conflicts like this, XVII uses optional name registration. If you choose to register your name (or handle), you'll be required to put in the password for it each time you post. Alternatively, if you allow a cookie to be set in your browser, you won't have to input it ever again (well, until you clear your cookies). Simply fill out the form below, and then start posting haiku to your heart's content! Notes: Your e-mail address will never leave the XVII database if you choose not to post your e-mail - it will just be stored in case you ever forget your password. As of now, XVII does not use Secure HTTP (https) to submit this information. I'd recommend using a new password for XVII if you're cautious about these things. (I'm looking into using https in the future.) The bio does allow HTML, so you can use <P> or <BR> for paragraph breaks, and you can put links in there. I will be looking over any bio with HTML in it to make sure this feature doesn't get abused (i.e. by Viagra companies :).)
